David Rimer

David Rimer began his career at The Capital Group Companies, working out of their Geneva, L.A. and London offices. In 1996, he left Capital Group to co-found Index Ventures, a global venture capital fund management company with offices in Geneva, London and San Francisco. From the start, he oversaw all aspects of the firm’s strategy and operations. In 2013, he left Index to pursue a childhood ambition to become a High School history teacher. He taught for 6 years and the decided to switch careers again and set-up the StoryBoard Collective, a philanthropic initiative based in Geneva, Switzerland that supports storytellers from historically excluded communities giving them the opportunity and tools to tell their story, their history, their identity, in their own way, to the rest of the world.
