“La présente Charte décrit le cadre de la Journée annuelle d’études juives organisée par

le B’nai B’rith Genève”

 

Objectif

Le B’nai B’rith instaure un rendez-vous annuel d’études juives, réunissant une fois par an la population juive de toutes sensibilités et de toutes observances. L’objectif est de partager ensemble une journée autour de sujets d’intérêt juif.

Bénévolat

L’événement est à but non lucratif et dépend d’un bénévolat au bénéfice de la communauté juive au sens large.

Respect

Durant l’événement prévaut un esprit d’unité, de respect, de rapprochement, de partage, d’étude et de découverte.

Les participants se comportent respectueusement vis-à-vis des autres participants, des bénévoles et des orateurs. Le B’nai B’rith traitera avec un respect égal tous les participants et tous les orateurs.

Etude

L’événement favorise des thèmes d’intérêt commun et partagé par des participants de toutes observances. Le contenu et la forme de chaque session sont de nature à inclure le plus grand nombre de participants et à n’en exclure aucun.

Le B’nai B’rith facilite l’étude de sujets d’intérêt juif en invitant des orateurs. Les opinions exprimées n’engagent que l’orateur respectif et ne représentent en aucune façon celles du B’nai B’rith.

Diversité

Dans le but d’intéresser la plus grande diversité de juifs, de toutes sensibilités et de tous âges, une offre variée de thèmes, de formats et d’orateurs est proposée aux participants. Le programme inclut un descriptif des sessions et une biographie des intervenants afin de faciliter un choix informé. Les interventions sont programmées de manière à éviter les conflits religieux ou politiques. Toutefois, aucune intervention n’est de nature à heurter les sensibilités de tout participant.

Le B’nai B’rith ne prend pas parti dans les débats entre divers courants du judaïsme. Le B’nai B’rith ne participe pas à la légitimation ou la délégitimation d’une position religieuse, politique ou idéologique. Tout prosélytisme en ce sens est proscrit durant l’événement. Les sessions sont de nature éducative et pas polémique.

Les participants s’engagent à respecter les modalités de chaque session

Jeunesse

Un programme adapté est proposé aux enfants et jeunes adultes. Le programme pour mineurs est conçu autour d’un tronc commun conforme aux sensibilités de parents de toutes observances.

Stands

Des associations juives peuvent obtenir le droit de tenir un stand durant l’événement. Tout matériel distribué ou livres et autres articles en vente respectent les règles de la présente Charte.

Cacherout

Tous les repas et toutes les collations proposés durant l’événement respectent la cacherout.

Goal

B'nai B'rith organizes an annual meeting of Jewish Studies, which brings together, once a year, the Jewish population of all sensitivities and all observances. The goal is to share a day together around topics of Jewish interest.

Volunteering

The event is non-profit and depends on volunteering from members of the Jewish community at large.

Respect

During the event prevails a spirit of unity, respect, reconciliation, sharing, study and discovery.

Participants behave respectfully towards other participants, volunteers and speakers. B'nai B'rith will treat all participants and all speakers with equal respect.

Study

The event promotes themes of common interest, shared by participants from all observances. The content and form of each session aim to include the largest number of participants and not to exclude any. B'nai B'rith facilitates the study of Jewish topics of interest by inviting speakers. The views expressed are those of the respective speaker and do not represent in any way those of B'nai B'rith.

Diversity

In order to attract the widest variety of Jews, from all sensitivities and all ages, a diverse selection of topics, formats and speakers is available to participants. The program includes a description of sessions and a biography of invited speakers to allow for an informed choice. The conferences are programmed to avoid religious or political conflicts. No presentation will offend the sensitivity of any participant.

B'nai B'rith does not take any position in the debates between various streams of Judaism. B'nai B'rith does not participate in the legitimization or de-legitimization of any religious, political or ideological perspectives. All such proselytism in this direction is prohibited during the event. Sessions are educational and not controversial.

Participants agree to respect the terms of each session.

Youth

A suitable program is offered to children and young adults. The youth program is designed around a common denominator aligned to the sensitivities of parents of all observances.

Booths

Jewish associations may obtain the right to run a booth during the event. All materials distributed, or books and other items for sale, must respect the rules of this Charter.

Kosher

All meals and snacks offered during the event comply with kashrut rules.
